The MV-22B Osprey came down in the Bladen Lakes State Forest area of Bladen County at approximately 10:20am Eastern Daylight Time. The aircraft was carrying an estimated 6,000 pounds of jet fuel, according to a local fire chief, as military investigators began examining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
