Another fashion month is culminating in its final city, drawing the likes of the Beckhams, Kate Moss and Sienna Miller to Paris to sit front row.
The packed autumn winter 2024 show schedule counts catwalks highlights from Balmain, Loewe, Dior, Chloé and Stella McCartney. So far we have seen everything from an unofficial Emily In Paris reunion (apt) to a double Mossy outing from Kate and daughter Lila at Saint Laurent.
Balenciaga pulled in a mix of sports stars, hyped actors and models — all giving their take of conceal and reveal looks and XL suiting. Cole Sprouse’s version has served as one of the most meme-able looks of this season’s shows so far.
Stella McCartney was a family affair as sir Paul sat front row with Beatles band member Ringo Starr as well as Paris Jackson, who looked effortlessly chic in a figure-skimming tiger print dress. Meanwhile actors Naomie Harris and Charlotte Rampling made a case for the designer’s signature suiting.
Rubbing shoulders at Mugler were Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz-Beckham with music stars Alexander Edwards and Tyga. And as fashion week wouldn’t be complete without an out-there look from Julia Fox, she wore a sheer feathered look front row with ethereal glitter makeup.
Valentino was the hot ticket for the It girl and influencer crowd, with attendees including Susie Bubble and Caroline Daur.
Bringing in some serious star power was Loewe. Of course, fellow LVMH group designer Pharrell was there to support in one of his new-season cowboy looks, and there was regal presence too, with fictional prince Ed McVey of The Crown fame mingling with actual Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece and Denmark. Also in attendance were everyone from actors Olivia Cooke, Emilia Clarke and Meg Ryan to Emily Ratajkowski.
At Roger Vivier Naomi Campbell joined the likes of Eva Green on the front row in the sleekest of all black ensembles.
Meanwhile, Isabel Marant drew major models including Toni Garrn, Taylor Hill and Ashley Graham for its designer’s latest eponymous boho collection
Chloé’s show was feted by a host of stars including White Lotus’ Meghann Fahy alongside Brits such as Amy Winehouse actress Marisa Abela and fashion favourite Alexa Chung. But it was Miller, making her first public outing since giving birth two months ago, who turned most heads. Georgia May Jagger and Jerry Hall also had a sweet mother-daughter moment.
There was much style inspiration to be had at the anticipated autumn winter 2024 collection from by Maria Grazia Chiuri for Dior. Ambassador Jennifer Lawrence gave a lesson in chic suiting wearing a charcoal three-piece, sans top. Classic suede pointed heels completed her look — and note her sheer tights; confirmation that hosiery is having a moment. Also there was Blackpink member Jisoo, wearing slouchy school-girl socks.
Other looks worthy of note were Alexa Chung’s take on the two piece in silk boxy separates and loafers, and Rosalía’s sleek puffer coat look which broke up the sea of sharp tailoring.
With Christian Dior miniseries The New Look currently airing on Apple TV, its stars were an essential addition to the front row, with Maisie Williams joining on-screen brother Ben Mendelsohn.
At Balmain, Serena Williams mingled with Netflix co-stars Lily Collins and Ashley Park, while model Taylor Hill was the epitome of glamour in kiss print shirt dress worn with corsage heels and a sleek retro beauty look.
Meanwhile Cher and boyfriend Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards brought their now obligatory couple’s style to the front row in matching denim and blazers.
Saint Laurent was a seriously starry event that saw Kate Moss (who has returned as a face of the brand as of last season) make a case for the mob wife aesthetic in black fur and sheer tights.
Her daughter Lila opted for classic elegance in a scoop-back black gown, while Linda Evangelista, Zoe Saldana and Iris Law all added to the major star power at the Anthony Vaccarello show.
And at Acne Studios, it was nepo baby Willow Smith who did the house’s grungy aesthetic justice in a cropped sculpted knit, distressed denim and buckle square toe boots.
