Blackhawks’ Jason Dickinson has deceptive speed to defend fastest opponents

LAS VEGAS — It would not surprise anyone to hear that Blackhawks forward Andreas Athanasiou recorded the fifth-fastest maximum skating speed (24.18 miles per hour) of any NHL player last season, according to new data released by the league.

But it would probably surprise most people to hear that fellow Hawks forward Jason Dickinson recorded the seventh-fastest speed: 24.08 mph.
