Motherwell are reportedly 'in talks' with Blackburn Rovers winger Dilan Markanday over a loan switch to Fir Park this month.
The 21-year-old is out of favour at Ewood Park, having been unable to earn first team football under boss Jon Dahl Tommason following his move to the club last year under then-boss Tony Mowbray.
And according to Football Scotland, the Steelmen are currently in talks with the former Tottenham Hotspur player over a six-month loan deal, which would include the option of a permanent move in the summer.
The move comes amid news Motherwell are also pursuing a loan deal for Japanese midfielder Riku Danzaki from J League outfit Consadole Sapporo. Danzaki is currently on loan at Australian side Brisbane Roar.
Fir Park gaffer Steven Hammell is keen to strengthen his squad amid a run of seven games without a win in the Scottish Premiership, which has left Motherwell 10th in the table and just three points ahead of bottom side Ross County, who they host on Saturday.
Earlier today Motherwell announced chief executive Alan Burrows will be stepping down as chief executive.
