Black Ops 7 Season 1 starts Dec. 4, 2025, and it introduces a ton of content, including Multiplayer maps, a Zombies map, new weapons, and a lot more.
You can get these fresh weapons through the Battle Pass, while others can be unlocked via weekly challenges. Party modes return with Prop Hunt, One in the Chamber, and Sharpshooter, while multiplayer playlists shift. Zombies introduces a new Wonder Weapon, enemy, and perk.
More updates include Ricochet anti-cheat enhancements, bullet penetration tweaks, and weapon attachment balances across ARs, SMGs, and LMGs. Having that said, here’s a complete breakdown of Black Ops 7 Season 1 patch notes.
Table of contents
Weekly challenges

Weekly challenges are your ticket to free goodies now. All you need to do is head to the Career Menu’s Challenge Hub right at launch. You can pick any six across Co-op Campaign or Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone to get the weekly loadout reward; week one has the Ballistic Knife.
Even if you miss a week, there won’t be any problem, as everything stays open through the season for XP grinding and camo unlocks. I would suggest grinding them early since they boost levels fast and tie into events like Astra Malorum Zombies Leaderboard in the first week or Rally Point Community Event in the second week, where global milestones drop the NX Ravager for everyone.
New weapons and Scorestreaks

The Kogot-7 SMG from Battle Pass is all about speed demons rushing in with full-auto fire, solid mobility, but watch that short range and recoil kick. Prestige it and you will unlock the MFS Kogot-7 Akimbo dual-wield. That will pump bullets but nerfs range and hipfire, and blocks underbarrels.
Maddox RFB is back from Black Ops 4 via Battle Pass, with fast fire rate, huge mags, and controllable recoil. It’s 13” MFS Echo-Fire Barrel prestige ramps fire rate every other shot for firepower bursts, but at the cost of losing accuracy.
Week one’s Ballistic Knife launches retrievable blades, while week two’s NX Ravager bow fires high-damage bolts. Akita Scorchlink akimbo shotguns also brings overheat spam, but sees a dip in range and hipfire. Week three’s Deadeye Drone lets you remote-pilot a rifle drone hunting pings, and you can overclock it with extended mags or grenadier bombs.
Coming to Scorestreaks, Scout Pulse overclocks faster now, and Skewer impact kills fixed. D.A.W.G. movement has also been smoothed out.
New multiplayer maps

Utopia is a new 6v6 map set in a repurposed Guild skyscraper hub, ideal for mid-range brawls between towering structures. Fate warps Raul Menendez’s compound into a surreal hell with massive machetes slicing skies and floating reality shards.
Odysseus (6v6 or 2v2 Face Off) is ideal for close-quarters on a frozen carrier deck with exploding planes mid-air and crimson mist. Standoff remaster shines with Black Ops 2 fidelity.
Maps will rotate into Season 1 Moshpit (Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, Hardpoint, Overload) and Hardcore variant on these four. Exposure adds paths from Loading spawn to solar panels, while Toshin gets a monorail link mid-to-upper station.
Weapon tuning
Weapons have been tweaked this Season. Starting with ARs, M15 MOD 0 Fusion Barrel’s range decreased from 20 to 18.5%, AK-27’s mobility nerfed across grips and stocks. MXR-17, X9, DS20, and Peacekeeper received mixed speed tweaks.

Coming to SMGs, Ryden 45K’s velocity has been buffed, RK-9 mag size increased from 40 to 42. Razor, Dravec 45, MPC-25 received barrel, range, and speed balances. LMGs’ ranges tweaked, and received minor speed shifts.
Party games
Party Games launches with Prop Hunt, where you hide as whistling props every 30 seconds, drop decoys, switch hunter or hide roles.
Sharpshooter FFA cycles random weapons every 45 seconds for aim tests. Week two will drop Sticks & Stones and Gun Game.
Playlists will shift – featured tab will spotlight Season 1 Moshpit (skill-based Standard option), Nuketown 24/7, Face Off (+Odysseus), Skirmish 20v20. Overload adds overtime (30s EMP push if tied), forces pistols on carriers, fixes respawns or score feeds. Also, Sticky Grenade sticks won’t tank performance anymore.
New Zombies map and enemy
Astra Malorum drifts in Saturn’s rings as a rusty 20th-century observatory turned undead haunt with hollow corridors, along with a new elite O.S.C.A.R. (Observation System and Carnifex Adjudicator Robot) enemy that hovers and patrols disturbances.

LGM-1 is the new Wonder Weapon that fires autonomous saucer swarms with lasers, prioritizing close targets, circles, returns for refills.
Coming to Ashes of the Damned, some tweaks have been made. Cursed Mode boss is back to hard difficulty, and several fixes done.
Perks, ammo mods, Field Upgrades, and Gobblegums
Mule Kick returns in the third primary slot, 15 augments unlock research (Black Ops 6 carries over).
For Major Augments, Pack Mule (extra ammo by type), Free Throw (keep non-retrievable gear), Ol’ Reliable (repurchase stores third gun), Multi Pack (PaP chains) are available. For Minor Augments, Fully Equipped (tac or lethal), Plate Hunter (plate reserve), BOGO (craft extra), Kick Back (perk discounts) can be equipped.
Light Mend ammo mod (21 augments): bullets spawn healing glyphs for allies from normals/specials. Majors: Antibiotic (damages enemies), Big Game (elites drop triples), Dual Action (faster heal post-consume), Booster Shot (overcharge). Minors: Longer Life, Extra Strength, Express Remedy, Mitosis.
New GobbleGums include Elemental Exposure and Slaylist.
Endgame World events
You must hit a Combat Rating of 45 or above for Colossus of Avalon. It has a giant mech rampage that exposes core with squad help or it orbits away. Toxic Tyrant unleashes neurotoxin outbreak, where you have to hunt sources amid hallucinations.
General fixes include underbarrel scales with rarity or upgrades, no duplicate loadouts, attachments apply, melee gets damage buffs. For Co-op Campaign, mouse puzzles improved.
