BO7 Esports World Cup 2026 format
The Group Stage splits the 16 teams into two GSL-format groups of eight. Every match is a best-of-five (Bo5) series, with teams battling through the double-elimination group format. At the end of the Group Stage, the top four teams from each group advance to the Playoffs while the rest are eliminated.
The Playoffs use a single-elimination bracket, where teams that qualified from the upper side of their groups are randomly drawn against teams that advanced from the lower side. However, teams from the same group cannot face each other in the opening round of the Playoffs. Matches are played as Bo7, except for the grand final which is a Bo9 series.
