Get ready to level up on Black Ops 6 as the game kicks off a surprise double XP weekend in the lead-up to its big mid-season refresh.
It’s the second event of its kind since the shooter’s blockbuster launch on October 26.
According to developer Treyarch, Black Ops 6 is the biggest Call of Duty game ever following a record-breaking first month, with more total players, hours played and matches logged than any other game in the series.
When is the Black Ops 6 double XP weekend?
To celebrate the milestone, Black Ops 6 will host a double XP weekend from Wednesday, November 27, 2024, and throughout the US Thanksgiving weekend until December 2, 2024.
Instead of Turkey-themed skins in the store, you’ll have to settle for double GobbleGums in Zombies. The festivities should kick off around 5pm on Wednesday in the UK (9am PT), allowing you to jump straight into the action after school or work.
Thanks for the support, everyone! How about an early 2XP Weekend to celebrate, starting Wednesday?

Oh... and Prop Hunt, Stakeout 24/7, and Hardcore Stakeout 24/7 starting Wednesday, too? 🫡 https://t.co/p9CxHxFHdm
As usual, you’ll be able to earn a two-times multiplier on Battle Pass XP, Weapon XP and general XP across the five-day event, making it easier to progress through Prestige, unlock camos and grab rewards.
What else is new?
To coincide with the double XP weekend, Treyarch is also bringing back fan-favourite mode, Prop Hunt, alongside a Stakeout 24/7 playlist with a hardcore variant.
When is Black Ops 6 Season 1 Reloaded coming out?
Sticking to the Modern Warfare playbook, Black Ops 6 will get a fresh batch of new content at the halfway stage of its first season.
New multiplayer maps, modes and weapons will arrive in the Season 1 Reloaded update on Thursday, December 5.
The release date was revealed by Treyarch in a social media post confirming the launch of the new Zombies map, the medieval-style Citadelle des Mortes (arguably the biggest addition of the lot).
The multiplayer maps, meanwhile, include the medium-sized Hacienda, the more compact Racket, and a snow-blanketed version of Nuketown. A crop of limited-time modes will be announced closer to the update’s release date.
Of course, it wouldn’t be an update without new weapons. To that end, players will receive a new fully automatic shotgun (Maelstrom), a semi-auto sniper rifle (AMR Mod 4) and a devastating one-hit kill Cleaver.
