With the cost of living crisis in full swing and cold, dark nights drawing in, many shoppers are trying to avoid touching the thermostat as it gets colder to save on bills. As a result, hooded blankets have seen a huge surge in popularity in recent weeks as a cost-effective way to keep warm without the need to pop the heating on.
Australian brand Oodie have by far been the most popular brand going viral on social media for their trailblazing wearable blankets, with some saying they’ve not used their heating since buying one.
But with most of their adult wearable blankets still coming in at £89, it’s a big investment - particularly if you need to kit out the family.
However, as part of the brand’s huge Black Friday sale , many of their giant hoodie blankets have been slashed in price, with some offering up to £35 off. For example, this penguin Oodie was originally £89 and is now down to £54 , while this Harry Potter Gryffindor Oodie was £99, and is now £64.
One of the best deals we found online as part of the Black Friday Oodie sale was a bundle offer which gets you two adult Oodies for just £98 - making them less than £50 each, or one almost free, whichever way you want to think about it. It’s cheaper than buying them individually, even at their sale price, so it is perfect if you’re buying as a couple. You could even go halves with a mate , or keep both for yourself so you never have to go cold, even when one is in the wash.
The Oodie twin pack was originally £178 , so has a whopping saving of £80, which is nearly a whole extra Oodie, and certainly enough for a kids one, where many are reduced to £47.
Shoppers can pick two different designs from fun block colours to pizza patterns, dachshund designs and even a chicken nugget edition.
Sadly, the Harry Potter , Friends , Rick and Morty and Looney Tunes designs aren’t included in the bundle deal due to licensing agreements, but many of them are still reduced in the Black Friday sale.
For those unfamiliar with the cult brand, Oodie creates super soft ‘one size fits most’ hooded blankets which are based off a 6XL hoodie.
