Black Friday is undoubtedly the biggest shopping event of the year, with the retail phenomenon kicking off the Christmas shopping season with some massive savings.
To mark the occasion, many retailers have been dishing out discounts at massively reduced prices, with incredible bargains to be had, particularly if you’re in the market for a new pair of straighteners, a hairdryer, or coveted air styler.
Over the past few months, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the price of the sell-out Dyson Air Wrap and rival Shark Flexstyle, as well as other electrical beauty items we predicted would be reduced for the November sale.

As expected, dozens of products have been reduced from big name brands and top-rated sellers, including Remington, Cloud Nine, BaByliss and GHD, so we’ve taken a look at some of the best deals, so you know you’re getting an actual bargain.
Here are some of the top Black Friday deals that will make for the perfect Christmas gift for someone you love, or you know, treat yourself - we’re not here to judge.
Remmington
The Remington Shine Therapy Hair Straightener S8500 is currently at the lowest ever price we’ve seen them, at just £21.50, down from £79. And our expert reviewer Rebecca Astill coined them as good as GHD’s’.
The Remington hair straighteners are infused with Moroccan argan oil which really works to increase shine in your hair after straightening. It works by using micro-conditioners which emit through the plates onto your hair when used.
We’ve seen them for £29 on Amazon in the past, but at £21.50, they’re a steal . Rebecca said: “My hair was straight, smooth and healthy and stayed straight all day without the need for hair oil. I really think these are the best budget straighteners on the market. If you are looking for a cheaper set of straighteners which will get you the results of GHDs, get the Remingtons .”
Over at Argos, the Remington Coconut Smooth Hair Dryer and Straightener have been reduced to £18 each, from £32. They’re rated 4.7 and 4.5 stars out of five respectively, with shoppers once again comparing the straighteners to GHDs.
One reviewer said: “I bought this 3 weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. I have extremely thick hair and have always used GHDs but I would say they are just as good if not better.”
Cloud Nine
Hair and beauty brand Cloud Nine has shared the hottest deals you can expect on their site this year, with savings of up to £130 on their award-winning styling tools. What’s more is that some products come with a free gift worth a whopping £60.
The Evergreen Collection touch iron is one of the brand's most attractive straighteners, in a stunning forest green design. They’re currently offering £50 off the hair tool, making them £129 instead of £179. Personalisation can be added for an additional £10.
The free gift includes The Evergreen Style Case, accessories bag, forest green scrunchie and luxury texture paddle brush mini, making it an essential bit of kit for sleek, styled hair.
Though if you’re not particularly fussed about the colour and just want some top notch straighteners, the standard touch straightener, in black , is now less than £100, saving £40 as they’re down to £99.
The biggest savings to be had are on the bundles, though, where customers can save £130 when buying selected dryers and straighteners together. The original iron pro pink and airshot pro styling set usually comes in at an eye-watering £448, but can be found for £318 in the Black Friday sale.
Dyson
Dyson might not have reduced the prices of their hair dryers, straighteners or air wrap, but are instead offering free gifts with purchases, with some worth up to £100.
The Dyson Supersonic hair dryer is priced at £329.99 , offering a powerful digital motor for fast drying times, with many saying is slashed their drying time in half. While it’s not on offer, it does come with gifts worth £90, including a complimentary stand and a paddle brush.
Reviewing the product, shopper Charlotte said: “Used this hairdryer a few times on my naturally curly hair and have absolutely loved it! Has cut my drying time in half and is so much lighter to hold than my previous one.”
Everyone shopping this Black Friday is desperate to see if some money will be knocked off the £500 Dyson Airwrap complete multi styler - but sadly, we just don’t think it will be reduced.
That said, the styler , now available in two stunning new colours - comes with accessories worth £80 when you shop this week.
Shoppers will receive a travel pouch to protect and store your Airwrap at home and on the move, as well as a paddle brush and detangling comb.
Arriving with a similar selection of freebies is the Dyson Corrale straightener, priced at £399.99. It comes with a complimentary Dyson-designed Vinca blue Presentation case, Paddle brush and Detangling comb worth £100. You can shop all of the Dyson Black Friday deals here.
And what about those budding hair stylists? Well, Argos are now stocking a Dyson Toy Hairdryer Set for just £16.99.
Unlike the ‘adult’ Dyson hairdryer, the mini styler won’t break the bank, setting you back by less than a tenth of the real thing. The set includes the iconic supersonic hairdryer, with nozzle, diffuser, barrel brush and detangling comb - and yes it really works.
BaByliss
As part of Amazon’s Black Friday deals, this BaByliss Air Style 1000 four-in-one styler has been reduced by 51 per cent to £33.99, down from £70, and according to shoppers is the best dupe on the market for the Dyson AirWrap range.
One shopper said: "I really wanted the Dyson Airwrap but with a price tag of £399 for either the volume and shape, or smooth and control versions, I really couldn't justify it. So I came across this little beauty, which appeared to do the same as the airwrap. An absolute fraction of the price of the Dyson Airwrap."
Another added: "I love this product, it is great value for the price as well. I wanted a hair dryer like the Dyson one and this is great for creating a straight look faster. I have thick naturally wavy hair and the setting with the brush is really easy to use and leaves my hair in a nice shape."
At Boots there’s a massive saving on the BaByliss Straight and Curl Brilliance Rose Gold Straightener, saving shoppers £75 now they’re priced at £50, while those looking for a bouncy blowdry look will love the BaByliss Curl Secret, which is now £60 down from £120.
Shark
Having tried and tested the new Shark FlexStyle, it would have been great to see it reduced for Black Friday, but seeing as it’s already £200 cheaper than Dyson, it’s unlikely to see any reductions this side of Christmas.
That said, some of their best-selling hair dryers have been reduced, including the HD120UK, down but £20 at Boots, now costing £179.99 . From bouncy blow-dries to perfectly defined curls, it’s said to easily create salon styles at home, for all hair types.
Meanwhile, on Shark’s own website, they’ve cut the price of the HD110UK - the model below - to £149.99, instead of £179.99. Extra bonus? They’re also offering free delivery.
Mark Hill
The Mark Hill Pick n Mix styler is one of the best budget buys on the market, costing just £17.99 for the handle, to which you can attach almost two dozen different attachments to achieve various types of curl.
There are mermaid wavers, varying sizes of curling barrels, glam wavers, corkscrew curlers and even a straightener attachment, priced at £16.99 each.
But currently, boots have an offer where you can get five for £50 , meaning you can save over £30 on the curling handle and four attachments of your choice. As someone who has used this curler for around five years and gets a new attachment every Christmas, this offer is not one to be missed.
GHD
GHD's range of stylers and accessories will be available at lower, discounted prices between November 18 and November 29 as part of the Black Friday sale. The haircare brand will have up to 22 per cent off across all electricals and accessories in the GHD collection, as well as two flash mega deals with up to 25 per cent off.
Shoppers can also bag a free gift with purchases and it's redeemable using code GHDXBF at the online checkout.
One of the top deals sees the Pink Glide Hot Brush at 22 per cent off, originally £169, now £131, saving shoppers £38. Alternatively, the GHD Rise Hot Brush will be £131 instead of £169 - also a saving of 22 per cent.
