The BKFC women’s flyweight championship will be on the line as the promotion heads to New Mexico for the first time.
Champion Christine Ferea will defend her 125-pound title against surging contender Taylor Starling, the promotion announced recently. The bout will headline BKFC 28, which takes place Aug. 27 at Rio Rancho Events Center in Albuquerque, N.M.
Ferea is 5-1 in professional bareknuckle boxing. Her only defeat came against Helen Peralta in August 2019. Since then, Ferea has gone 3-0 with victories over Calie Cutler, Calista Silgado, and Britain Hart.
