JAIPUR: Former CM and BJP national vice-president Vasundhara Raje on Monday said the party will come to the power in the state and build temples which the ruling Congress government was refraining from doing.
She said, “The Congress government in Rajasthan is neither constructing nor developing temples. They are also not sanctioning funds for them.” “On one hand, there is the BJP during whose last tenure in Rajasthan, 125 temples were developed at a cost of Rs 550 crore and statues of deities, saints, mahatmas and temple routes were constructed at Rs 2,500 crore. On the other hand, Congress, has always had a negative attitude towards development of temples,” said Raje.
She was speaking as the chief guest at the ‘Samarpan Maa Narmada Seva Parikrama Yatra’ and a conference of Kewat Samaj organized by Sant Bal Brahmachari Uttam Swami ji Maharajat Nemawar Tirtha’ in Madhya Pradesh.
