LUCKNOW: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday rewarded two of its veterans -- Dr Radha Mohan Das Agarwal and Laxmikant Bajpai -- for their selfless work for the party by nominating them for Rajya Sabha polls. The two are among the six candidates announced by the party for the biennial elections slated to be held on June 10.
Agarwal, the four-time MLA from Gorakhpur Urban, readily accepted the party's decision when CM Yogi Adityanath was fielded from the same constituency in the 2022 state polls. Bajpai, a former state chief of the party, has been working tirelessly for the organisation after he lost from Meerut despite a saffron wave in 2017 assembly elections.
