Bishopton Ladies capped off a season of progress with a battling performance against Oban.
In their final game of the campaign, they were unable to get onto the scoresheet, but greatly increased their possession and showed off their improving skills since they started the season.
And while the visitors to Holmpark were ultimately too strong in defence, the home team showed great prowess in the line-out and maul.
They also produced some big tackles to hold off a number of Oban attacks down either flank.
A Bishopton Rugby Club spokesperson said: “As this was our last game of the league, we are now able to reflect fully on our debut season.
“The team has pulled together fantastically, with only eight members of the squad having even ever played rugby before coronavirus hit.
“We gained so many new players over the course of the pandemic, as we offered fun and fitness outdoors within the covid guidelines, as well as the club having a continued big presence in the community helping with food and medicine deliveries.
“Our hard work is paying off as we start to see our defence coming together, especially solid in the centre, forcing teams out wide.”
The growing team now look forward to playing in the National Bowl competition in early spring, before regrouping for skills, strength and conditioning over the rest of spring and summer.
The spokesperson added: “We are confident our numbers will continue to grow as word spreads that Bishopton are a welcoming family club for all ages and abilities.
“Our goals for next season is to grow our experience and to make sure everyone enjoyed every game.
“We have certainly achieved this goal this time around with our confidence growing and smiles on faces after every game.”
