Bishopsworth ring road crash: One person taken to hospital after air ambulance lands

Crews from both Avon Fire and Rescue and South Western Ambulance Service were called out to South Bristol this morning following a crash that blocked part of the ring road. Ambulance vehicles and an air ambulance landed at the scene in the Bishopsworth area at 8am today (August 11).

The A4174 King Georges Road was blocked in both directions and traffic was slow from the A38 Bridgwater Road (Lime Kiln Roundabout) to Highridge Green as a result. Emergency services have now shared further information about the collision.

One person was taken to hospital by land ambulance. Photos from the scene issued by Bedminster Fire Station show the extent of the damage.
