Two years ago, the sports world watched in awe at the debacle that was Bishop Sycamore High School’s football team. Now, a much-anticipated documentary called BS High about the saga is on the way, and HBO unveiled a preview that has fans excited.
In case you’ve forgotten, Bishop Sycamore drew national headlines in 2021 when the program played a game on ESPN against perennial high school powerhouse IMG Academy. Bishop Sycamore lost the game 58–0 and looked incompetent while doing it, and fans began to realize something was amiss.
The documentary further details how players were duped into playing for this illegitimate team and goes inside the world of high school sports that allowed the program to get a matchup with one of the best teams in the nation. It also interviews coach Roy Johnson, who was at the center of the controversy.
Here’s a look at the outstanding trailer.
