A thug removed his partner's shoes so he could hit her with them and used a stun gun on her because he thought it was funny.
Ross Reay had been in a relationship with the woman for two years when he subjected her to frightening violence after losing his temper because she was unable to transfer some photos onto a new phone. Newcastle Crown Court heard he shouted at her to take her shoes off then forcibly removed them and hit her about the head with them. He then hit, kick and put his hand around her neck trying to choke her.
The victim managed to send a message asking her mother to rescue her and took the opportunity to run away bare-footed after going for a cigarette.
