A Birds Bakery shop has reopened its doors after undergoing a full refurbishment - but the former seating area has gone.
The shop in Beeston has a complete new look, featuring a purpose-built hot food counter and coffee from Nottingham roastery 200 Degrees.
The new counter has been designed to serve a wider range of hot food to takeaway customers.
The shop was closed for ten days while renovation work was carried out.
Bacon and sausage cobs and sandwiches are still served for customers to eat in but instead of tea and coffee in crockery, drinks are now served in takeaway cups.
A new seating area has been created near the windows overlooking Beeston Square.
Mike Holling, sales and marketing director at Birds Bakery, said: “We are very excited to be reopening our Beeston store to our customers again.
"The refitted store now has more space to accommodate our customers.
“We are committed to investing in our stores and providing a fresh new feel for all to enjoy. We are proud to keep on providing high-quality products and customer service, and we look forward to welcoming our customers for a takeaway coffee and a slice of cake."
For those who can’t make it in person, Birds Bakery is operating its home delivery service as normal for local residents, with its new online store serving also serving customers nationwide.
The online store is selling items including sausage cob packs, pork pies, Valentine's Day chocolates, macarons and gingerbread men.
