Bird flu: Rare black swan ‘Bruce’ dies in East London as ‘UK’s largest ever’ outbreak spreads

A rare black swan in east London has died from bird flu amid the UK’s “largest ever” outbreak of the disease.

Residents living near to Hollow Ponds in Wanstead have spoken of their sadness after the swan, named by locals as Bruce, was confirmed to have passed away from the disease.
