Biocon Limited has secured a 10-year supply contract in Brazil for Pertuzumab, a monoclonal antibody used to treat HER2-positive breast cancer, after signing a partnership agreement with Brazilian public pharmaceutical laboratory Bahiafarma and biotechnology company Bionovis.
The Biocon-Bahiafarma-Bionovis consortium has received 100% allocation under Brazil's 10-year Productive Development Partnership (PDP) programme for Pertuzumab, giving it exclusive access to the country's public healthcare market, which accounts for around 70% of demand for the drug.
