Billy Donovan discusses Bulls inconsistencies in loss to Nets

The Chicago Bulls were chugging along throughout the course of the season after their 5-14 start, but as of late, they’ve been struggling mightily. They lost their fourth contest in five games on Friday night, losing to the Brooklyn Nets by a score of 125-108. Chicago couldn’t keep up with the offensive production of Brooklyn.

The Nets simply outperformed the Bulls on the offensive side of the ball, outshooting them from three-point range 25-9. Coby White’s issues with efficiency continued against the Nets as the Bulls’ shot profile couldn’t stand up to how Brooklyn was rolling on the offensive end of the floor.

After the game, head coach Billy Donovan spoke about the importance of Chicago’s offensive consistency. (H/t Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune)

“We really need everybody offensively to have — not to say huge games, but consistent games,” Donovan said. “Those are some of the things we’re trying to fight for. I wish we could control the ball going into the basket. That’s the one thing you can’t control. I do like the shots that we’re generating, the things that we’re trying to do on offense and the way they’re trying to play. But there’s just times when we do have droughts.”

It was the second time in three games that the Bulls failed to crack the 110-point mark.
