Much has been made about Stefon Diggs’s displeasure with the Bills organization, and there finally appears to be some clarity in regard to the situation. The star wide receiver is frustrated with his role on Buffalo’s offense and wants more of a voice in play-calling, according to The Boston Globe’s Ben Volin, who cited a source close to the Buffalo locker room.
It became apparent there was some unhappiness from Diggs when the star wide receiver could be seen screaming at quarterback Josh Allen while on the sideline during his team’s eventual 27–10 playoff loss to the Bengals in the AFC divisional round. Diggs subsequently didn’t show up for any voluntary workouts this offseason, and things took a dramatic turn when coach Sean McDermott said he was “very concerned” Diggs wasn’t there for the first practice of mandatory minicamp last Tuesday.
The next day, McDermott played down the situation and said he gave Diggs permission to miss practice after a conversation in which he felt that “we all needed a break and some space.” Allen eventually chimed in and said, “I know, internally, we are working on some things, not football-related. [Stefon] is my guy. I f------ love him. He’s a brother of mine. This does not work, what we’re doing here, without him.”

Since McDermott’s comments, Diggs participated in mandatory practice but has yet to speak publicly since his displeasure with the team became apparent.
Diggs is entering the second season of a four-year, $96 million contract with the Bills. He recorded 108 catches for 1,429 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.
