Buffalo Bills running back James Cook wasn’t about to lose a fumble for the second time on Monday Night Football against the Denver Broncos.
During an explosive run during the game’s fourth quarter while his team was trailing, Cook lost hold of the football after Broncos safety Justin Simmons took a swipe at the ball and knocked it loose.
Well, Cook made the play of the night by somehow recovering his own fumble while he was still running and carrying it even further down the field near the red zone.
Talk about a lucky bounce for Cook and the Bills!

This was a stellar play by Cook to cross out the stellar play by Simmons, and it kept the Bills alive on what was a crucial drive to try and get the lead before time expired.
Josh Allen would scramble into the end zone to do just that a few moments later, showing just how huge Cook’s play was. He more than made up for his fumble earlier in the night by how he snagged this one for a big gain.
