Billions of WhatsApp users warned not to send certain types of message

WhatsApp users have been warned against sending certain types of message that could see them hit with a huge bill or even facing legal action.

WhatsApp is the most used messaging app in the world, with more than two billion people using it regularly. More than 100 billion messages are sent each day on WhatsApp.

But those who use the platform must adhere to certain rules and laws, with some of these relating to the types of messages sent.
