Billionaire Issa brothers and Morrisons submit final bids for collapsed convenience retailer McColl's

The billionaire Asda-owning Issa brothers have tabled a final offer to rescue collapsed retailer McColl's.

Blackburn-headquartered EG Group, whose brands also include LEON, Cooplands and Euro Garages, made the move after the chain fell into administration on Friday, plunging the future of its 1,100 shops and 16,000 staff into doubt.

Morrisons has also submitted a final offer prior to the administrators' Sunday 6pm deadline for offers.
