The conservatives and the extreme right will have to find another enemy, because their favorite target is going away.
Billionaire George Soros, 92, subject of many conspiracy theories, leaves the scene. The legendary financier hands over the reins to one of his children.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the one who has been accused of all the evils impacting our world by fans of conspiracy theories, announced that his son Alexander, 37, will take over the reins of his $25 billion empire.
"We think alike," Soros told the newspaper.
Michael Vachon, person of confidence of George Soros, confirmed to TheStreet that Alexander was now the boss.

George Soros has a total of six children. He had three -- two sons and a daughter -- from his first marriage to Annaliese Soros. Jonathan, 52, the youngest, who is a lawyer and financier, was considered the natural heir but there were insurmountable differences with his father.
Alexander, who goes by Alex, is the eldest of the two children - all boys - that George Soros had from his second marriage to Susan Weber. This hip-hop fan and socialite has a Ph.D. in history from the University of California Berkeley.
Alex Soros inherited an empire which includes Soros Fund Management, the hedge fund that consolidates his father's holdings, and positions in companies listed on Wall Street. SFM is a family office that manages public and private equity.
The Soros empire also includes Open Society Foundations, a network of entities with operations across the globe, that has set itself the goal of promoting democracy, human rights and press freedom. OSF also funds many progressive causes and NGOs worldwide. Open Society Foundations is one of the world's richest foundations, along with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which allots billions to promote public health and development.
One of OSF's most controversial decisions under Soros is to make numerous contributions in support of reform-minded prosecutors across the US since 2015. In a Wall Street Journal op-ed last summer, the billionaire said that he has "no intention of stopping" to support progressive candidates running to become prosecutors or for reelection.
"The funds I provide enable sensible reform-minded candidates to receive a hearing from the public. Judging by the results, the public likes what it's hearing," Soros said.
'I'm More Political'
This decision has resulted in George Soros being accused to be the cause of the lack of safety and the crime in several large American cities, and more particularly, the cities under the control of the democrats.
In April, the entire American right and former President Donald Trump accused him of being the instigator of the indictment of Trump, the first former president to be arrested in U.S. history.
The real estate and TV reality star was arraigned on Apr. 4. He was accused by Manhattan prosecutors of orchestrating a hush-money scheme to help pave his path to the presidency and then covering it up while he was in the White House.
He was indicted on 34 felony counts and appeared in a Manhattan courtroom. Trump pleaded not guilty in the case.
For the former president, who is running in the 2024 presidential election, it is a setup by Soros, who "handpicked and funded" the Manhattan district attorney, Alvin L. Bragg.
Soros has denied the accusations.
But that doesn't stop conspiracy theorists and Trump from saying that Soros is leading an elite group that wants to keep the former Republican president from coming to power again.
Alex Soros, who has been the chairman of OSF since December, says he is more political than his father. He thus plans to extend the causes embraced by OSF to voting and abortion rights, as well as gender equity, and will continue to finance the campaigns of left-leaning U.S. politicians. This means that the Soros name will remain a favorite target of conservatives and conspiracy theorists.
"I'm more political," Alex told The Wall Street Journal.
Expressing concern over the prospect of Trump returning to the White House in 2024, Alex Soros said that OSF will use its financial might to unseat the former Republican president.
"As much as I would love to get money out of politics, as long as the other side is doing it, we will have to do it, too," the Soros heir said.
The Soros have a super PAC which is known as the Democracy PAC.
There is, however, one point on which Alex Soros agrees with the conservatives. This is free speech. He believes that free speech has been restricted too much on college campuses and everywhere else.
