Billie Faiers has revealed she had a meltdown on a recent flight with baby Margot.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star, who is married to businessman Greg Shepherd, became a mum for the third time in December.
Speaking on The Sam and Billie podcast with sister Sam Faiers, she described taking baby Margot on holiday.
Although the tot is just five months old, she has already been on lavish trips to the Maldives and Dubai.
Asked about what it was like taking a young baby on long-haul flights, Billie revealed it was ‘intense’.
And she blasted plane companies for not having enough bassinets for babies onboard – saying she had to hold Margot in her arms for 12 hours when the only one on the plane broke.
Despite asking if she could move to another seat where her and Margot would have more space, she said flight attendants refused as they were for passengers who had booked extra leg room.
Detailing the harrowing experience on a flight home from the Maldives, Billie shared: “I had a nightmare.
“So we get on the plane and going out there we had the bassinet for Margot, which is what you get when you have a young baby.
“Going out, it’s great because where the bassinets are you get the leg room as well, so you know with a baby you’ve got all the stuff and you’re always in and out of the baby bag.”
Billie continued: “Margot pooed on the flight five times.
“Anyway, we get on the flight and they’re like ‘really sorry the bassinets broke’. One basinet on the whole flight.
“I went ‘right’. I was like ‘can I still sit there’ and they were like ‘no, we’ve had to put someone else there that’s booked leg room’. But I was like ‘but that was my seat’.
“So I had to hold Margot in my arms for 12 hours – Greg and mum helped as well. I just thought ‘please don’t do this to me’."
Billie added: “She’s at the age now – she’s five months – she doesn’t want to be restricted in my arms for 12 hours, but we had no choice.”
Sister Sam, who also has three young children, revealed she had a similar experience on a flight to Dubai.
She said: “The same thing happened on our flight to Dubai. Obviously it wasn’t as long but is like six or seven hours.
“No bassinet at all and Edward is 11 months and he’s heavy. Paul and I had to hold him the whole flight because the bassinet seat was taken.
“We were like ‘Well I requested a bassinet seat. I understand that seat might be taken, but it was a couple that had those four seats with no baby.
“And I was like ‘can you swap us please because you can see I’ve got a baby here that’s 11 months that’s going to want to lay out and sleep’ and I had the same issue.
“She wouldn’t move us and I was like, ‘but we have a baby, surely the baby comes over leg room’ – unless you’re really elderly or something, but these were a couple in their 30s and 40s. It was bad.”
