Billie Faiers 'kicked off' after stranger smacked her son on flight

Former The Only Way Is Essex star Billie Faiers admits she was left "going mental" when a stranger smacked her five-year-old son Arthur on a flight. The incident happened on a plane back from Dubai, she revealed.

Billie, 32, said it was the angriest she has ever been on a flight when recalling the incident, which happened when Arthur was three. Billie says her son was having a tantrum and kicked the back of the woman's chair as she tried to soothe him, reports the MEN.

Speaking on her podcast with sister Sam, Billie said: "We were on the way back from Dubai, and there was a family that were sat in front of us and Arthur was kicking off a bit - as they do sometimes. Don't get me wrong, this is really annoying, but he had kicked the back of the woman's chair.

"He was on my lap and I was trying to say 'calm down.' There was a woman sitting in front. I was like 'I'm so sorry' and he carried on and he was having a bit of a tantrum and crying. Well, the woman turned around and she smacked him."

Billie, who also has a seven-year-old daughter Nelly with her husband Greg, confronted the passenger.

"I went 'excuse me.' I stood up, do you know when you have the red mist and you're shaking?" she told Sam on The Sam and Billie Show.

"She smacked him on his arm. She turned around and she smacked him. I kicked off. I was going mental.

"Everyone was looking. I was so angry. Greg was half asleep a couple of rows in front and he was like 'what's going on?' I was going berserk at this woman."

Billie says her son wasn't hurt but she was shocked by the incident.

She added: "She didn't hurt him but she smacked him and I was in shock, I was furious. An air hostess came up I said 'everything is not alright she smacked my child.' I was shouting.

"She put a blanket over her head she was so embarrassed. You could tell her kids were really embarrassed."

Sam and Billie, the stars of the ITV show The Mummy Diaries, recently told how they were left fuming after a celebhaunt restaurant Sexy Fish in London, which is planning to open its first Manchester restaurant later this year, gave their table away when they arrived 20 minutes late for a reservation. It sparked a feverish debate about just how late is acceptable to arrive for a booking.
