Billie Eilish is making her acting debut on this hotly-anticipated Prime Video show

Billie Eilish Swarm premiere. Billie Eilish attends the Swarm Red Carpet Premiere and Screening in Los Angeles at Lighthouse Artspace LA on March 14, 2023 in Los Angeles, California

Sure, she's an Oscar winner, but Billie Eilish has never acted—until now.

The "Ocean Eyes" superstar has dominated everything from the Glastonbury 2022 stage to the Met Gala 2021 red carpet to numerous musical charts, but now she's taking on television with her onscreen acting debut.

On Thursday, March 16, the singer posted a sinister sneak-peak of her upcoming TV role on her Instagram. The clip features a still-blonde Eilish opposite the show's leading lady, Dominique Fishback, in what looks like an interview between their two characters:

"I see milk spilled on the carpet," Fishback's character says.
"What color was the milk?" Eilish replies in the clip, smiling eerily.
"It was red."
"Did you hurt someone?"
"Yes"
"Very good."

Creepy stuff! Here's what we know about Eilish's acting debut, and when and where you can tune in!

All about that Billie Eilish 'Swarm' cameo:

Billie Eilish was hand-picked for the role in Swarm, Donald Glover's new psychological horror series debuting on Prime Video on Friday, March 17.

“Swarm” co-creator Janine Nabers told Rolling Stone: “We were looking to cast the episode and she suggested Billie, and I said, ‘Does she act?’ And she said, ‘Yeah.’ And I said, ‘What has she been in?’ And she said, ‘Nothing.’ But what’s so incredible about this process is that you have a lot of people that work on the show that are multi-hyphenate and people who have so many different passions. We gravitate toward people who are juggling multiple hats.”

Swarm follows a young woman named Dre (Fishback), who is a devoted stan of Ni'Jah, a Beyoncé-like pop star with a rabid fanbase known as the Swarm. (Beyhive vibes, no?) Dre encounters Eilish's mysterious, mystical character Eva in episode four of the series, entitled "Running Scared," during which Dre spends time with a cult-like group of white women while in Manchester, Tennessee, for the Bonnaroo music festival.

“When you look at the time of the show’s story, and the fact that there’s a true-crime element of every episode, that element of Episode Four is NXIVM,” Nabers told Rolling Stone. “They existed in New York—in Albany—and that was the period in our lives when they were preying on women. It’s about the idea of a cult-like mentality of someone that can be your savior, and you see that reflected in music. That was always part of what that episode was going to be. We took the Keith Raniere character out of it because we really wanted to focus on the women.”

As for Eilish's acting skills? “She’s so respectful of the craft. She came in with ideas, wanting to talk about it, being game to rehearse,” Fishback said to the outlet. “I think she’s wonderful. I’m such a fan of her as a person due to what I experienced with her on set.”
