Bill Lawrence's adaptation of Carl Hiaasen's 2013 novel, 'Bad Monkey,' is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on August 14. The series, a long-awaited project for the prolific producer, follows the story of Andrew Yancy, a former Miami P.D. detective who becomes a health inspector in the Florida Keys after being dismissed from the force. When a tourist discovers a human arm while fishing, Yancy is thrust into a murder mystery that he hopes will lead to his reinstatement.
The ensemble cast includes Vince Vaughn as Yancy, along with L. Scott Caldwell, Rob Delaney, Meredith Hagner, Natalie Martinez, Alex Moffat, Michelle Monaghan, Ronald Peet, and a capuchin monkey in the role of the titular 'Bad Monkey.'
