Discover the parallel journeys of two souls through surrealist-inspired artistic perspectives during "The Journey Of A Soul", which is running on the 3rd floor of Central The Original Store, Charoen Krung Road, until July 12.
The exhibition brings together the works of two renowned Thai female artists -- Suwimol "Bill" Pongsamrit and Patcharalak Disayasarin Tavedikul, or Lady Tavedikul, who explore the boundless connections between the spiritual realm, the beauty of the physical world and the unseen forces that shape human experience.
Through their distinctive artistic visions, viewers are invited to pause, reflect and reconnect with their inner selves, embarking on a contemplative journey that bridges the visible and the invisible, the tangible and the transcendent.
For Bill, each painting serves as a visual journal of self-discovery. Drawing upon memories, emotions, fleeting moments and personal experiences accumulated throughout different stages of life, she reinterprets them through a distinctive painterly language.
Her works are characterised by ethereal, dreamlike imagery, symbolic motifs, layered narratives and delicately constructed surreal landscapes that evoke a sense of lightness and introspection.
The gentle visual quality of her paintings invites viewers into a reflective space and examine questions of identity, emotional healing and the acceptance of the diverse and beautiful facets that exist within themselves.
Lady Tavedikul, meanwhile, presents a body of work that explores philosophical and spiritual ideas, expressing the belief that abundance, happiness, beauty, simplicity and freedom already exist within the present moment here and now.
Through an interdisciplinary artistic approach, she conveys the wonder and mystery of life and the universe, inviting viewers to reconnect with the deeper dimensions of existence. Through her use of colour and form, she reflects the boundless abundance of the universe, portraying a journey of awakening and the emergence of a new path in life.
