Children of billionaire and Microsoft founder Bill Gates are set to inherit less than one per cent of his wealth, after he vowed to give away 99% of his fortune by 2045.

While most billionaire heirs stand to inherit family empires, Gates' three children are each expected to receive roughly £7.9 million ($10.4 million).
