A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with 'potentially life-threatening' injuries after a crash on a busy Nottingham route. Emergency services are in attendance after a collision between a car and a motorbike on Clifton Bridge, Clifton Boulevard just before 3.45pm on Friday, August 19.
A female rider is also receiving treatment for injuries which are not currently believed to be life-altering. Road closures are currently in place between Clifton Boulevard and the Nottingham Knight island on the A52 carriageway heading towards the Queen’s Medical Centre.
Drivers are urged to avoid travelling through this area while the scene remains in place. Anyone with any information about what happened is asked to contact the police on 101, quoting incident 498 of 19 August 2022.

Drivers have reported long waits as queues build due to the closures. Nottingham Travelwise added: "Emergency services have closed A52 Clifton Boulevard at Nottingham Knight (northbound) Please use an alternative route at this time. There are delays in the area on the A52 in both directions."
