Police investigating a crash between a suspected stolen motorbike and car have arrested two suspects for offences including burglary.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Ringway Road off Halton Road in Runcorn at 1.30pm on Thursday.
A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said officers found a collision had occurred between a grey Citroen DS4 and a motorbike.

When the ECHO visited the scene the bike was marked as a Yamaha R125. The police spokeswoman said the 28-year-old rider, from Prescot, suffered what were believed to be serious injuries and he was taken to Aintree University Hospital.
He has since been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving without a licence and burglary. The man remains in custody.
A 16-year-old boy from Bootle riding as a passenger on the bike was taken to Whiston Hospital with minor injuries, and later arrested for burglary also in relation to the motorbike, before being released under investigation. A large emergency services response descended on the scene on Halton Road, which was shut in both directions at the junction with Halton Court and Ringway Road.
The highway was taped off while roads policing officers investigated the scene. Police said the road remains shut.
A member of the public told the ECHO an air ambulance had also landed. Enquiries are ongoing and witnesses are urged to come forward.
The force spokeswoman said: “The rider of the motorbike, a 28-year-old man from Prescot, Merseyside, is believed to have sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and was subsequently taken to Aintree Hospital.
“He has since been arrested by police for a number of offences relating to the incident, including dangerous driving, driving without a licence and burglary.
“He is currently being held in custody.“ The passenger from the motorbike, a 16-year-old boy from Bootle, Merseyside, was taken to Whiston Hospital for minor injuries.
“He was also arrested for burglary of the motorbike, he has since been released under investigation pending enquiries.
“Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and the road is currently closed as a result of the incident.
