A biker has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash in South Ayrshire.
Mercy crews including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service raced to the junction of the A719 and B730 close to the village of Tarbolton at around 5pm on Wednesday, June 15 following reports of a crash.
The smash involved a motorcycle and a car.
The motorcyclist was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries.
Their full condition is not yet known.
The driver of the car was unhurt.
They will be reported for road traffic offences, cops confirmed.
The road was closed for a period but has since reopened.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police officers were called to a road crash involving a motorcycle and a car on a road close to the village of Tarbolton, Ayrshire at 5pm on Wednesday 15 June 2022.
"Emergency services were in attendance and the motorcyclist was conveyed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.
"The driver of the car was unhurt and will be reported for road traffic offences.
"The road was closed for a short time for vehicle recovery but was soon reopened."
