PATNA: The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) sleuths on Wednesday raided the residential premises of former Azimabad SHO Kripa Shanker Sah and former circle officer (CO) of Barun, Vasant Kumar Rai and unearthed assets worth several lakhs disproportionate to their known sources of income. Both were accused of conniving with the sand mafia and amassing unaccounted wealth.
Disproportionate assets (DA) cases were lodged against them on Monday under Sections 13(2) and 13(1) (B) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The raids were being conducted after procuring search warrants from the court.
