Bihar: Bodies of teacher and girl found tied in Muzaffarpur

PATNA: The bodies of a 15-year-old girl and a 33-year-old man were found tied together with a scarf (dupatta) on the banks of Budhi Gandak river in Muzaffarpur district on Sunday morning. The deceased were identified as Sudhanshu Kumar, a teacher and resident of Budh Nagar under Musahari police station area, and the girl of the same area. SHO Shashibhushan Kumar said there were no physical and external injuries on the bodies.

“Police investigation revealed that both had been in love for the last two years. Sudhanshu’s wife and the girl’s family members knew about it and opposed their relationship. A month ago, her family members had stopped her from attending coaching classes taken by Sudhanshu,” the SHO said.

“Based on the girl’s father complaint, a case has been registered against Sudhanshu for provoking her to commit suicide. He has also given evidence that the teacher had posted on social media that he would end his life,” he added.

The girl and Sudhanshu had been missing since June 16. The relatives said the deceased teacher used to teach at Manikpur. He also used to run coaching classes at home. He has a one and a half years’ old daughter and his wife is pregnant.
