PATNA: The political developments in Bihar not only exposed the chinks in the armour of CM Nitish Kumar's JD(U), but also its trust deficit with ally BJP. The reported telephone talks between Nitish and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi on Monday have further raised the political temperature in Bihar.
JD(U) had long been planning to show its former party president RCP Singh the door. But its 'zero tolerance on corruption' move against the former Union minister by seeking explanation on the properties acquired in the names of his two daughters and wife between 2013 and 2022 hurt the RCP ego so much that he did not spare even his political mentor Nitish Kumar.
