PATNA: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Sunday said Barh, a sub-divisional headquarters in Patna district, would be upgraded as a separate district.
While interacting with his old associates in the erstwhile Barh parliamentary constituency, which sent Nitish to the Lok Sabha for consecutive five times from 1989 to 1999, the CM told the locals that they should not be worried about the upgradation of Barh into a district headquarters. “You all will have a district,” he said in a vague manner keeping in mind the Election Commission’s model code of conduct which is already enforced due to the ongoing state legislative council polls.
