Bihar: 3 East Central Railway officers among five arrested for graft

PATNA: The CBI on Monday arrested three Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officers posted in East Central Railway with headquarters at Hajipur, including the chief freight transport manager (CFTM), and two others in an alleged bribe case. The officers have been accused of taking bribe from a private firm in lieu of giving preferential and out-of-turn freight rakes. The CBI registered an FIR in this regard at Patna on Sunday.

Those arrested were ECR's CFTM Sanjay Kumar (1996 batch), senior divisional operational manager (DOM), Samastipur, Rupesh Kumar, and senior DOM, Sonepur, Sachin Mishra, besides Nawal Ladha of Abha Agro Industries Private Ltd and and one Manoj Kumar Saha. Manoj Ladha of M/s Abha Agro Industries Private Limited and M/s Abha Agro Export Private Ltd. is also one of the accused in the case.
