Rail passengers face a summer of major disruption after workers voted for a strike branded the biggest in more than 25 years.
Members of the RMT union backed industrial action over pay, conditions, 2,500 Network Rail maintenance job cuts and reforms that the union claims will lead to a wave of ticket office closures.
The vast majority of the strike ballot passed overwhelmingly.
