Biggest ever EuroMillions £184m jackpot scooped by lucky ticket holder in UK

One lucky EuroMillions ticket holder will become the UK’s biggest ever lottery winner after last night’s draw for a whopping jackpot of £184m.

Ticket holders were on the edge of their seat on Tuesday after the jackpot for the Europe-wide lottery was rolled over several times.

The winning numbers last night were 3, 25, 27, 28 and 29, plus the Lucky Stars were 4 and 9.

And Camelot, the UK’s operator of the National Lottery, has confirmed that someone in the UK won the incredible cash sum.

Officials say they are on ‘standby’ as they urge the winning ticket holder to come forward.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at the National Lottery said: “What an amazing night for one UK ticket holder who has scooped the incredible £184 million EuroMillions jackpot - they have become the UK’s biggest ever National Lottery winner.

“Players are urged to check their tickets and give us a call if they think they are tonight’s lucky winner.”

He added: “This massive amount could not only change a winners’ life, but would make a huge difference to their friends, family and community.

“My team and I have our fingers crossed for all the UK players and are on standby.”

The previous highest winnings from a UK player came in October 2019, when an anonymous EuroMillions player scooped £170,221,000.

Colin and Chris Weir from Ayrshire bagged Scotland’s highest ever lottery win in July 2011, when they won a huge £161,653,000.

The couple splashed the cash on cars, while Colin also pumped money into his favourite football club, Partick Thistle.

They also shared their fortune with friends and charitable trusts, and passed money onto their two children.

Colin Weir tragically died in December 2019 after battling a short illness.

The cash jackpot up for grabs last night could be enough to buy the luck ticket holder four Caribbean islands, with some money to spare, or 11 six-bedroom luxury properties in London.
