A bigger and better Aldi East Kilbride Queensway store reopened yesterday following refurbishment.
Shoppers can now benefit from a larger retail space of 1,170 sqm, offering an enhanced, convenient and varied shopping experience, with a large range of award-winning Scottish products at competitive prices to choose from.
The new layout was created to make shopping even easier for local customers, with the store now having more space and clearer signs. Fresh bread and cakes have been moved to the last aisle, preventing them from getting squashed under customers’ shopping, and the store will now offer new, easy to browse freezers.
East Kilbride customers can also take a walk down the ‘Aisle of Aldi’, where they will find Specialbuys which are available every Thursday and Sunday.
And, all this week, the store will be offering a range of Lacura beauty products, including ladies’ perfumes for £5.99, a satin heatless curling set for £4.99, and satin or towelling beauty pillowcases for £4.99 each.
The store will be run by manager Kate Mair, along with a team of 31 colleagues from the local community. In a welcome boost to the regional economy, Aldi have created new jobs as a result of the extension and are continuing to recruit for the East Kilbride store.
Applications and more information on all of Aldi’s store positions can be found on Aldi’s recruitment website.
Store manager Kate Mair said: “The team and I are really looking forward to welcoming back some familiar faces as well as new customers and supplying our local community with the everyday amazing products we have available. Hopefully the new look store will make shopping at Aldi East Kilbride that bit easier and more comfortable.”
The local store closed for refurbishment on May 7.
Following its reopening, the store, located on Units 3 and 4 Queensway, East Kilbride, G74 5NY, will be open from Monday to Saturday 8am till 10pm and Sunday from 9am till 8pm.
