Shoppers in a cheeky Facebook group that revolves around all things Aussie shops are in a tizzy following an oopsie on a Big W product.
In a Facebook group dedicated to home decor and hacks, inspired by the big three — Kmart sun, Big W moon and Target ascending — a woman’s post has gone gangbusters following a plethora of hilarious responses from fellow shoppers.
You see, the woman posted a picture of a bed sheet she copped from Big W, writing: “What is this? I bought this sheet thinking it was a Queen, but it says Qouble! What on earth does that mean? I am utterly perplexed.”
Lo and behold, the Openook Cotton Rich Fitted Sheet featured an odd bed size in the corner.
Is it a double? Is it a queen? Does a qouble bed even exist in Australia?
While the OP was scratching her head over the unknown size, fellow Facebook members came in hot with their puns, questions and remedies for the Big W typo.
“Did you have any quoble putting it on?” one punter wrote.
“I’m using this as a scrabble word, screenshot for proof,” a second person commented.
“This is quite quoblesome,” wrote a third.
Do quoble beds exist?
Well, long story short, it appears that quobles do not exist. On the Big W website, the product is only available in single, king single, double, queen and king.
A woman who claimed to be an employee at Big W also chucked in her two cents under the original thread, confirming that qouble kerfuffle is just a typo.
“I work at Big W and we definitely don’t sell qouble,” they wrote, before suggesting that the OP should exchange the product at a service desk.
Honestly, I wonder what a qouble would look like. Sounds quite qounty.
