Big turnout expected as Comic Con returns to Ayrshire town

Ayrshire Ayr Comic Con Optimus Prime BGCP Pikachu Shrek Ayrshire Post Ghostbusters

As many as 2,500 people are expected to descend on The Citadel Leisure Centre in Ayr next weekend - as Comic Con makes its welcome return to the region.

Organisers BGCP Comic Con have promised that this year’s event, on Saturday, June 3, will be another one to savour - as fans gear up to gather for a celebration of their favourite comic and movie characters.

A spokesperson for the organisers said: “BGCP Comic Con made its Covid-postponed return to the Citadel in June 2022 with a blockbuster crowd of 2,500 attending, so we aim to make it even bigger for the 2023 event.”
