The Big Ten Tournament is back.
The 2023 men’s basketball tourney officially tips off at the United Center in Chicago on Wednesday with a pair of first-round games.
The Spartans received a double-bye and will not take the floor until Friday afternoon at approximately 2:30 p.m. ET. Michigan State is the No. 4 seed and will play one of the following teams: No. 5 Iowa, No. 12 Wisconsin or No. 13 Ohio State.

No. 12 Wisconsin vs. No. 13 Ohio State
Tip Time: 6:30 p.m. ET
TV: Big Ten Network
Prediction: Wisconsin beats Ohio State
Ohio State has been playing better basketball lately and Wisconsin is in a must-win situation to reach the NCAA Tournament. This makes for arguably the best-ever No. 12 vs. No. 13 seed game in Big Ten Tournament history. I’ll give the slight edge to Wisconsin since it has more to play for, but don’t be surprised if the Buckeyes pull the upset and even make it to Friday to face the Spartans in the quarterfinals.
No. 11 Nebraska vs. No. 14 Minnesota
Tip Time: 9 p.m. ET
TV: Big Ten Network
Prediction: Nebraska beats Minnesota
Minnesota has shown life in the final weeks, including a strong finish to the regular season last week. But Nebraska is also playing really well right now and should win this game with relative ease.
