While for some people October would be considered too early to start thinking about Christmas, shoppers happy to get in the festive spirit early can pick up discounted advent calendars in Amazon's Prime Day Sale.
The sale went live this morning and will run through to 11.59pm on Wednesday, October 12, and is considered the internet giant's precursor to Black Friday. It includes everything from gadgets and tech through to toys, clothes and beauty products although this year we have seen an increased interest in items to help tackle the rising cost of living, including heaters, air fryers and hooded blankets.
But for anyone with one eye on spreading out the cost of Christmas, there are plenty of deals worth taking a look at now, with advent calendars top of the list - whether you're after Minecraft and jewellery crafting for children in the family or posh Hotel Chocolat and tea options for the grown ups.
