Liverpool Council's meetings will return this week with a major planning committee that could see some huge projects given the green light.
The planning committee will meet on Tuesday June 6 to deliberate on and decide which of the latest major planning applications should be approved, rejected or delayed.
We've taken a look at the big projects that are up for discussion at this week's crucial meeting.
The Daffodil
One of the most eye-catching plans that will come before the planning committee on Tuesday concerns an historic boat that could have a new lease of life as a restaurant, hotel and event space.

For 64 years, the MV Royal Daffodil took passengers across the famous river connecting Liverpool and the Wirral. Now, more than a decade since she was decommissioned, plans could be approved that will turn her into a restaurant, bar and hotel.
If the plans are approved by Liverpool Council's planning committee this week then the Daffodil will be anchored to a mooring point located within Canning Dock at the boundary with Strand Street and near to the entrance of Salthouse Quay. The dock is owned by the Canal and River Trust.
The plans, which come from Philip Borg-Olivier and Liverpool City Ships Ltd, ask for permission to carry out refurbishment works to the ship in order to turn it into a “unique and nationally significant hospitality venture.” The plans are recommended for approval when the committee meets on Tuesday.
Mersey Tunnel monument
Another of the major plans up for discussion at Tuesday's meeting concerns a famous Liverpool monument that could be reimagined.
In 1934, an obelisk created by Herbert James Rowse was placed to mark the start of the Liverpool side of the tunnels connecting the city with the Wirral. A second one was positioned in Birkenhead at the Wirral entrance, but its sister monument on Liverpool's Old Haymarket no longer exists.
Plans put forward by Merseytravel are seeking to reinstate the statue, as well as relocating two green toll booths from George’s Dock Building Plaza. The planning report states: “The hard landscaping around the Mersey Tunnel entrance is dominated by highway engineering works carried out over the last 50+ years and has resulted in a poor visual appearance.
“The proposed works seek to address this, by introducing a structure that previously formed part of an ensemble with the grade II listed Mersey Tunnel entrance, and by improving the general appearance and appreciation of the space.
"The works collectively, including the return of the toll booths, would improve the general appearance of the area whilst paying a respectful nod to the original design of the Mersey tunnel entrance.”
Liverpool College
Liverpool College is one of the city's most prestigious schools and is now planning some renovations.
The college is seeking permission to erect a new two-storey classroom block following the demolition of an existing cottage and garages on the site.
The project, if approved on Tuesday, would include associated works like a pedestrian crossing at North Mossley Hill Road to facilitate Active Travel in the area.
Asda
The Asda supermarket on Smithdown Road is one of the most recognised shops in south Liverpool.
New plans could see a drive-thru coffee shop and associated works constructed at the Smithdown Road shop. These plans are recommended for approval by officers but the planning committee will have the final say on Tuesday.
