A big-hearted Dublin woman is launching an all-you-can-carry book sale to raise money for Ukraine.
The Mayor Square Book Fair will take place at the National College of Ireland, IFSC on Saturday, July 9 from 11am to 4pm. Organiser Liz Maguire told Dublin Live the charity event was a "natural meeting of two worlds".
She explained: "People really want to help however they can right now and there’s a lot of pressure with the cost of living and general expenses coming out of the pandemic that you can’t necessarily make big donations. But in this capacity people are clearing out their shelves, they’re feeling productive and they’re also donating €10 at the door and leaving with books. So it’s a nice merging of those two worlds."
