Big day looms for number of Perthshire-based Scottish Wedding Awards finalists

Perth and Kinross is proving itself to be quite the powerhouse in the wedding industry.

The finalists for the 10th Scottish Wedding Awards 2023 have been revealed - and the region features prominently.

More than 20 elite wedding specialists and businesses from the area have been shortlisted and are in the running to return with well-deserved prizes.

All of those on the shortlist are said to help “create magical moments that turn into lasting memories”.

The black-tie ceremony will take place tonight (Tuesday, February 28) at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel.

Top specialists and establishments that have gone “above and beyond” in the sector will gather to celebrate their achievements.

One of the Perthshire names up for an award is Scone’s Brian Baxter, The Highland Celebrant. He is one of the finalists in the Best Celebrant category.

Brian, from Fuze Ceremonies, reacted: “Wow, this is the second year in a row that I have been shortlisted for the Best Celebrant category.

“I am truly humbled by the outpouring of support from all my previous couples that I have had the honour to legally marry this past 12 months.”

The Scottish Wedding Awards 2023 aim to recognise and reward those within the wedding industry that work towards making the big day as perfect as possible.

This includes the caterers that provide delicious reception meals, decorators that take care of the wedding venues and add the glam in the room or florists that know how to make any wedding flourish.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Wedding Awards said: “These awards are now recognised as the leading celebration for showcasing those that have demonstrated excellence in the wedding industry.

“This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Scottish Wedding Awards and we are delighted to be celebrating not only the finalists but how far the industry has come in the past decade.

“The competition is tough this year but it is time to acknowledge everyone who has shown dedication and professionalism in their workplace; two key features that make individuals and businesses stand out from the rest.”
