Big Brother 2024: Housemates nominated to face first live eviction revealed

Big Brother is about to get very real with the housemates nominated for the first live eviction revealed.

Since the rebooted ITV show returned for its second series last week, the House has been left divided into two groups - Housemates and Non-Housemates and tonight saw the first task of the series conclude.

Reigning supreme in the final challenge, Daze made the decision to save both Emma and Lily from the public vote, leaving Dean, Nathan, Ryan and Baked Potato (Rosie) as Non-Housemates and ultimately facing this week’s eviction.

Voting for this week’s eviction opens at 10pm tonight (October 8) exclusively via the Big Brother app, with viewers being asked to vote for the Housemate they wish to evict from the house.

The results of the public vote and first live eviction will take place on Friday. Viewers can then watch Big Brother hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best get all the gossip in the first live interview on Big Brother: Late & Live.

29-year-old Dental Assistant Rosie, who lives in Cornwall but is originally from Essex, could be a huge contender for the boot after rubbing a number of viewers up the wrong way not long after entering the house on Sunday.

Her crime? Screaming too much.

Many took to social media to vent their frustration and beg her to stop.

"Can Rosie stop screaming #bbuk" implored one person on X, formerly Twitter.

"Please stop screaming, Rosie. I have a dog. #BBUK" added a second.

While a third penned: "Rosie seems nice but the screaming is slightly over the top #BBUK."

Fighting her corner, one put in: "Honestly I think she's just excited, which is to be expected I doubt she will be screaming like this into next week at least I hope #BBUK.".

Thomas is the bookies early favourite to win Big Brother (ITV)

Meanwhile, Thomas is being touted by bookies as an early favourite of the 16 housemates to win.

The 20-year-old amputee footballer from Carlisle currently has odds at 4/1, while 20-year-old Lily, a Chinese takeaway server from Warrington is in second place at 5/1.

Elsewhere, 23-year-old sales manager Khaled from Manchester makes up the podium spots as things stand, at 6/1, while 27-year-old spa account manager Sarah from Shrewsbury remains the rank outsider at 25/1.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "It's early days but punters are already getting right behind Thomas and Lily in the Big Brother betting... there's a long way to go but for now it looks like a two-horse race between those two."
